Constant monitoring of corrosion levels are vital to maintain the safety of the ship and her crew. Vessels often suffer the most severe cases of metal wastage due to the corrosiveness of salt water. Tritex multigauges can measure metal thickness in even the most difficult applications. This is why class societies, including IACS, actually recommend gauges that use multiple echoes when carrying out surveys on ships.
