Most factories have reserves of chemicals stored in tanks to allow them to carry out their respective processes. These are generally transferred around site using pipelines. Both the tanks and pipelines are susceptible to corrosion and can be kept in check with simple thickness monitoring using Tritex multigauges.

Other applications may include wear on machinery, boiler tube measurement, quality assurance, inspection of metal structures, condition monitoring of plant assets or preventative maintenance.
